I finished my enrolling process and got to my dorm. I met my roommates and started dealing with the little bitsy intricate details of room sharing without getting into each other nerves. As it turns out, the wonderful and high-skilled personnel of school put a student of architecture, a medicine student and me, a law newcomer together. It would mean nothing if our studying needs were somewhat the same, but they are not. At most, we might concur on being out of the dorm at the same time.

Anyway, we took our place and our beds. I dumped all my knickknacks and started browsing around all the stuff that I was handed. My roommates did the same thing and then we realized that there was no need for all of us to browse each other through the same things so we went to the lounge and sat down and started browsing and commenting on the slips. Of course, we went through several ones that were “pre-approved” student credit cards.

Mike, the architecture student said that he was one of those who signed to receive the pre-approved student credit cards. I asked why if they were such a big scam and he said that he is a working person, he’s already paying for his school and therefore, all that speech on economic independence was fun, but did not apply to him. He said that the student credit card did work for him since it had a low interest rate; lower than a regular credit card, but that he did not think that they would give it to him, especially once they did a research on his credit history because they would realize that he had two other credit cards.

John also signed, being a medical student he believed it was his duty to flirt with every single girl in the place and he was entangled and ended up signing. His family saved from the very day he was born to allow him to attend University medical school and so, money is not gushing on his household; Mike told him that if he had not financial easiness then it was a bad idea to get involved in the credit card world. And that he should go back and request the form he had already signed to be torn out in front of him.

John was uncomfortable with that and asked Mike to go with him. They went as I ordered a pizza and sodas.
