I called home and was pretty happy to find such a wonderful pair of roommates. I could see that we were on the way for those long friendships…
Mike and John reached the girls and asked for John’s form back. She looked at him with an air of misunderstanding and sorrow and Mike stepped in asking now in a stronger voice, she looked at Mike and her face changed to some sort of anger. She looked through the forms and lifted her head announcing that John’s form had already been delivered so that there was just nothing left to do.
John shrugged and turned around but Mike noticed the satisfaction grin on the face of the girl and demanded to look for himself on the forms, and before the girl could oppose, he knelt and started browsing amongst them. Of course, he found John’s form and signature.
John came, reviewed the form, and noticed that when the girl approached him; he had made it clear and emphasized with her that he wanted a line credit that was no bigger than $2,000.00 usdlls. Moreover, the girl had told him that she was going to make sure it was understood, but in the form that he was ripping the credit card limit requested was of $10,000.00.
The girl said nothing. John was hurt and confused but Mike was mad. He told her a couple of things to which the girl just shrugged her shoulders, gazed at Mike with anger and turned around making the “l” sign to both of them as they walked away…
They returned and told me everything I am telling you, I got mad because I do not believe that this should be an allowed attitude. Sadly it is a very common activity amongst all credit card promoters, to trick or tell the applicants that they will give or seek for the banking or credit card institution to allow a maximum credit line according to the sum requested or acknowledged by the applicant. When in reality they will request any credit card line sum that they deemed appropriate. This is because their commissions as credit card promoters’ increase according to a higher credit card line sum in the credit card form filed.
I hummed and thought for a moment or two, and then I took the phone, called the administrative offices of our respective schools, and requested to talk to whoever was in charge.
