Using a credit card can teach one many things, from the dangers of getting in financial trouble if the credit card is used improperly, to the benefit of building a positive credit history by responsibly using the card and meeting all repayment terms and conditions without overspending.

Additional learning comes in to play when the credit card holder discovers they can actually use their card a helpful tool in managing finances and monthly expenditures by placing certain expenses and charges on their credit card each and every month, which often allows the card holder to hold on to their budgeted cash until the credit card bill comes due. This is not to say card holders should spend money they do not have. It is wise to use a budget plan when charging expenses on a credit card and paying these expenses back.
It is recommended that credit card bills be paid in full each month. This builds good credit and healthy borrowing and spending habits, but also leaves more available remaining credit on the credit card account, which positively influences the card holder’s credit score by increasing it.
