Credit card applications come in the mail every day. At least to me they do and I throw them away. I was wondering how much paper that wastes each year, how many trees that destroys every day? First off, credit cards should only be applied for the respective consumer is ready and educated. Secondly, unsolicited mail is getting old; the eighties are long gone so why does this still mail still come? Many credit and loan companies are moving toward online applications and decreasing the number of paper applicatons.

There are several websites which feature credit card offers, one of which is StudentCreditCards.com. The name says it all, but what one might not know is the website provides an unbiased selection of credit cards for colege students, as well as large sections for credit counseling services and credit unions that are in your local area.

Perhaps one day phone books will too be a thing of the past as nature has a way of repairing itself.
