It’s easy to charge purchases on a student credit card. But is that a good thing? If anything comes easy is sometimes too good to be true. Life is full of challenges and obstacles but why make it difficult on yourself by racking up debt you do not need. The keyword being need. This holiday season, college students do not need to purchase anything except for themselves, and they can gift with a budget mindset.
One of the best birthday gifts i received was a single lottery ticket. Point being the dollar value of a Christmas gift is not the point and if it easy have a sit down with your materialistic friend or relative. Spend cash whenever possible and only utilize a student credit card for planned gifts alongside your budget. Student credit cards can be tools to help build a strong credit profile if used properly.
